With the Niemann Pick Disease Group UK
being a charity that is very dear to my heart, and that of many members of my
family; I felt it was only right to team up with the owner of HOPE. I decided to organise an event that would support NPDG
UK whilst bringing the Nottingham community together and spreading a great amount of awareness at
the same time.
The Family Fest Fun Day Event took place on
Sunday 24th February 2013 at Sherwood Community Centre in Nottingham
from 11am – 3:30pm. Many local: big and small, newly established and well known businesses
were invited and happily took part. There was such a variety that catered to
the needs of all attendees; so no age, gender or ethnicity would be left out.
Hope bags, Angel Ice Designs, H2K Clothing, Jazzy Babies, Emerald Accessories,
Henna Beauticians, Tings Caribbean, Shaqai’s Sweet Land, Black Acre Soap Pantry
just to name a few.
The weather on the day wasn’t the greatest
but not one soul that attended left disappointed. There was live entertainment by
members of the Nottingham Orchestra, tasty food and a raffle and tombola
competition with the most amazing prizes.
I'd like to thank everyone who came to the
Family Fest Fun Day. Your time and contribution to the Niemann Pick Disease Group UK is
very much appreciated. Well done to everyone who won prizes, I hope everyone
that had a mini photo shoot by PCBphotography likes their photos and key rings. We look
forward to organising another fun day for some time in the Summer when we hope
the sun will come out to play.
Love Always
Kayisha
